Special Weather Statement

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WILMINGTON OH
421 PM EST WED NOV 27 2013

…SCATTERED SNOW SHOWERS TO AFFECT PARTS OF EASTERN INDIANA…OHIO AND NORTHERN KENTUCKY INTO THE EVENING HOURS…

COLD AIR MOVING ACROSS THE WARMER WATERS OF LAKE MICHIGAN WILL PRODUCE SCATTERED SNOW SHOWERS ACROSS THE REGION INTO THIS EVENING. SOME OF THESE SNOW SHOWERS WILL BE BRIEFLY MODERATE TO HEAVY. AS A RESULT…VISIBILITIES MAY GO FROM UNLIMITED TO A QUARTER MILE OR LESS IN A VERY SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. IN ADDITION…SOME LIGHT ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE POSSIBLE WHICH MAY CAUSE A FEW SLICK AND ICY SPOTS.

MOTORISTS TRAVELING THROUGH THE REGION TODAY NEED TO BE AWARE FOR REDUCED VISIBILITIES DUE TO SNOW SHOWERS. THIS WILL BE ESPECIALLY TRUE ON INTERSTATE SYSTEMS WHERE HIGH RATES OF SPEED MAY LIMIT YOUR REACTION TIME TO SLOW DOWN OR STOP. BE SURE TO SLOW DOWN WHEN APPROACHING SNOW SHOWERS AND ALLOW EXTRA DISTANCE BETWEEN YOU AND THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF YOU.
