URGENT – WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WILMINGTON OH
947 AM EST SUN DEC 8 2013

…A WINTRY MIX OF PRECIPITATION WILL SPREAD OVER THE REGION TODAY…

…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM EST MONDAY…

* HAZARD TYPES…A MIXTURE OF SNOW…SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN.

* ACCUMULATIONS…SNOW ACCUMULATION 1 TO 2 INCHES…ALONG WITH LIGHT ICE ACCUMULATIONS.

* TIMING…SNOW WILL CONTINUE TO OVERSPREAD THE REGION THIS MORNING. THE SNOW WILL MIX WITH SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN DURING THE AFTERNOON. PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO BECOME LIGHT TONIGHT BUT SOME FREEZING PRECIPITATION WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE AS TEMPERATURES HOVER NEAR FREEZING.

* IMPACTS…TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES ARE EXPECTED DUE TO REDUCED VISIBILITIES…SNOW AND ICE ACCUMULATIONS.

REMEMBER…A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW…SLEET…OR FREEZING RAIN WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SLIPPERY ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES…AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.
