…COLDEST WEATHER IN 20 YEARS EXPECTED MONDAY INTO TUESDAY…

ARCTIC AIR WILL BE PULLED INTO THE OHIO VALLEY IN FULL FORCE BEHIND A VIGOROUS STORM SYSTEM THAT CROSSES THE REGION ON SUNDAY. TEMPERATURES BELOW ZERO WILL COMBINE WITH STRONG WINDS GUSTING TO 20 AND 30 MPH FOR ALL OF MONDAY INTO TUESDAY.

BY TUESDAY MORNING…WIND CHILLS WILL DROP TO 25 BELOW ZERO OR LOWER. THIS WILL POSE A DIRECT THREAT TO PERSONS…PETS…AND LIVESTOCK.

THE ACTUAL SUB ZERO TEMPERATURES WILL LIKELY NECESSITATE ACTIONS BY HOMEOWNERS TO KEEP PIPES FROM FREEZING…ESPECIALLY OLDER HOUSES OR HOMES WITH LESS INSULATION.

THESE TEMPERATURES WILL BE COMING ON THE HEELS OF A WINTER STORM ON SUNDAY WHICH IS EXPECTED TO BLANKET THE REGION WITH A FRESH COATING OF SNOW.
