Special Weather Statement

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WILMINGTON OH
1011 AM EST MON JAN 6 2014

…SLICK ROADS POSSIBLE THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON…

OCCASIONAL SNOW SHOWERS CAN BE EXPECTED THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON. THESE WILL BE CAPABLE OF BRIEFLY REDUCING VISIBILITIES TO BELOW ONE MILE AS WELL AS PRODUCING A QUICK DUSTING OF SNOW COVER. IN ADDITION…FOR LOCATIONS THAT STILL HAVE A COVERING OF SNOW…WEST WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH WILL RESULT IN AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW. AS TEMPERATURES CONTINUE TO FALL BELOW ZERO…ROAD TREATMENTS WILL BECOME LESS EFFECTIVE…RESULTING IN THE POTENTIAL FOR BLACK ICE.

IF TRAVELING TODAY…ALLOW FOR SOME EXTRA TIME TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION AND BE ALERT FOR RAPIDLY CHANGING DRIVING CONDITIONS. IF YOU ENCOUNTER AREAS OF REDUCED VISIBILITY…SLOW DOWN AND USE EXTRA CAUTION.
