NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WILMINGTON OH

…HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS TO CONTINUE INTO THE MORNING…
…BRUTALLY COLD WIND CHILLS WILL OCCUR TODAY INTO TUESDAY…

.WEST WINDS GUSTING 25 TO 35 MPH WILL CREATE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW. IT WILL ALSO USHER IN ARCTIC AIR AND PROVIDE THE COLDEST TEMPERATURES SEEN IN THE OHIO VALLEY FOR ALMOST 20 YEARS.

…WIND CHILL WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM EST TUESDAY…
…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS CANCELLED…

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WILMINGTON HAS CANCELLED THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY.

* HAZARD TYPES…BLACK ICE WILL OCCUR THIS MORNING AND EXTREMELY COLD WIND CHILL READINGS WILL OCCUR INTO TUESDAY.

* TIMING…THE RAPID DROP IN TEMPERATURES EARLY THIS MORNING IS RESULTING IN ICY CONDITIONS WHERE ROADS ARE NOT TREATED. ARCTIC AIR WILL SETTLE OVER THE REGION THROUGH TUESDAY.

* WINDS…WEST 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 30 MPH.

* WIND CHILL READINGS…AS LOW AS 33 BELOW.

* IMPACTS…HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED DUE TO REDUCED VISIBILITIES AND BLACK ICE ON ROADS. THE FRIGID CONDITIONS WILL BE DANGEROUS TO THOSE VENTURING OUTSIDE. PROLONGED EXPOSURE MAY CAUSE FROSTBITE.
