Special Weather Statement

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WILMINGTON OH
906 AM EST FRI JAN 17 2014

…SNOW SHOWERS EXPECTED ACROSS THE REGION TODAY…

SNOW SHOWERS WILL MOVE ACROSS THE REGION THIS MORNING AND INTO THE AFTERNOON HOURS. SOME OF THE SNOW SHOWERS WILL BE MODERATE TO HEAVY AT TIMES. SNOW WILL SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCE VISIBILITIES AT TIMES. A QUICK ONE TO TWO INCHES OF SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE. THE COMBINATION OF RAPIDLY REDUCED VISIBILITIES AND QUICK SNOW ACCUMULATIONS IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME WILL POSE A TRAVEL HAZARD.

MOTORISTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO PLAN ACCORDINGLY FOR THE SNOW TODAY. REMEMBER TO REDUCE YOUR SPEED…ALLOW EXTRA DISTANCE BETWEEN YOU AND THE CAR IN FRONT OF YOU…AND ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION.
