URGENT – WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WILMINGTON OH
420 AM EST SAT JAN 25 2014

…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THIS EVENING…

* TIMING…SNOW WILL REMAIN ACROSS THE REGION THIS MORNING BEFORE TAPERING OFF DURING THE AFTERNOON. BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE AFTERNOON.

* ACCUMULATIONS…SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 2 TO 4 INCHES.

* WINDS…SOUTHWEST 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH BECOMING WEST THIS AFTERNOON.

* VISIBILITIES…VISIBILITIES TODAY WILL BE UNDER A MILE AT TIMES AND OCCASIONALLY REDUCED TO A QUARTER MILE OR LESS IN SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW.

* IMPACTS…THE COMBINATION OF SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW WILL HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO SIGNIFICANTLY IMPACT TRAVEL CONDITIONS. ROADS WILL REPEATEDLY BECOME SNOW COVERED.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BLOWING SNOW MAY ALSO LIMIT VISIBILITIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES…AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.
