URGENT – WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WILMINGTON OH
630 AM EST SUN FEB 2 2014

…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON EST TODAY…

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WILMINGTON HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR FREEZING RAIN AND SNOW…WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON EST TODAY.

* HAZARD TYPES…FREEZING RAIN AND SNOW.

* ACCUMULATIONS…SNOW ACCUMULATION OF UP TO AN INCH ALONG WITH ICE ACCUMULATIONS OF A FEW HUNDREDTHS OF AN INCH.

* TIMING…RAIN AND FREEZING RAIN WILL TRANSITION TO SNOW THROUGH THROUGH MID MORNING BEFORE TAPERING OFF LATE THIS MORNING.

* IMPACTS…TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES ARE EXPECTED DUE TO REDUCED VISIBILITIES AND SNOW AND ICE ACCUMULATIONS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… REMEMBER…A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW…SLEET…OR FREEZING RAIN WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SLIPPERY ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES…AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING. STAY TUNED TO NOAA WEATHER RADIO OR YOUR FAVORITE SOURCE OF INFORMATION FOR THE LATEST UPDATES.
