.A FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL STALL OUT IN THE TENNESSEE VALLEY SATURDAY NIGHT. THIS WILL SET THE STAGE FOR A MAJOR WINTER STORM…AS LOW PRESSURE TRACKS NORTHEAST ALONG THIS BOUNDARY. THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR VERY HEAVY SNOW AND SIGNIFICANT ICING BEGINNING LATE SATURDAY NIGHT INTO MONDAY.

…WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON…

* HAZARD TYPES…HEAVY SNOW AND ICE.

* ACCUMULATIONS…SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 8 TO 12 INCHES…ALONG WITH A TRACE OF ICE.

* TIMING…A MIX OF SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN IS EXPECTED SATURDAY NIGHT BEFORE A PERIOD OF SIGNIFICANT SNOW IS EXPECTED SUNDAY INTO MONDAY.

* IMPACTS…SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOWFALL AND A FREEZING RAIN…SLEET AND SNOW MIX WILL BE POSSIBLE…RESULTING IN HAZARDOUS ROADS AND REDUCED VISIBILITIES. TRAVEL SUNDAY INTO MONDAY WILL BE IMPACTED.
