Special Weather Statement

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WILMINGTON OH
1136 AM EDT TUE APR 1 2014

…ENHANCED FIRED DANGER THROUGH LATE AFTERNOON…

TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE FROM THE MID 60S TO MID 70S WITH THE RELATIVE HUMIDITY DROPPING TO 25 TO 30 PERCENT THIS AFTERNOON. THESE DRIER CONDITIONS ALONG WITH SOUTHWEST WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH WILL LEAD TO AN ENHANCED FIRE DANGER THROUGH LATE AFTERNOON.

THIS MEANS THAT FIRES WILL START EASILY FROM MOST CAUSES. THEY COULD SPREAD RAPIDLY…INCREASE IN INTENSITY…AND BECOME DIFFICULT TO CONTROL. OPEN BURNING IS DISCOURAGED AND POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS.
