SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE NORTHERN HIGH PLAINS REGION DURING THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING. AFTERNOON SHOWERS AND STORMS ARE ALSO FORECAST FROM THE OHIO VALLEY SOUTHEASTWARD INTO PARTS OF VIRGINIA AND NORTH CAROLINA.

AMPLIFICATION OF THE UPPER PATTERN IS PROGGED TO COMMENCE MONDAY…AS A TROUGH OVER THE PAC NW AND ADJACENT ERN PACIFIC DIGS SEWD ACROSS CA AND THEN TOWARD/INTO THE GREAT BASIN DURING THE SECOND HALF OF THE PERIOD. THIS WILL RESULT IN A SWD ADVANCE OF THE SURFACE COLD FRONT OVER THE WRN U.S. WITH TIME. FARTHER E HOWEVER…THE FRONT SHOULD MOVE LITTLE…EXTENDING SWD ACROSS THE HIGH PLAINS AND THEN ESEWD FROM THE CENTRAL PLAINS ACROSS THE MID MS/TN VALLEYS TO THE CAROLINA COAST.

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE NRN HIGH PLAINS AND VICINITY DURING THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING…AND ALSO FORM THE OH VALLEY SEWD INTO NC/VA GENERALLY TO THE COOL SIDE OF THE SURFACE FRONT. LITTLE IF ANY SEVERE RISK IS EVIDENT IN EITHER AREA.
